EN Buildings and infrastructure objects are the subjects of common use and high maintenance costs. Life cycle of construction consists of concept, designing, assembly, exploitation and maintenance, demolition. Today we do not accept disposal with waste. Materials play an important role in recycling, significantly improving eco/green and carbon footprint indexes. Traditional materials, but also modern composite structures are crucial for structural safety. Thermal properties are under special research attention from the point of view of sustainable, energy efficient solutions. Last years of scientific interest goes to processes of re-use of construction materials. New private, public and industry investment is provided after the end of life of buildings or infrastructure elements. Special areas of fire protection regulations, eco/green environments are influenced by designed materials. New technology for Building Information Management is introduced for the whole life cycle. The operation with Information Technology becomes necessary to handle the data and information to rich effective financial result and on-time handover.
