Abstract

EN In this paper a general scheme and designing challenges encountered during design of Nowacki’s shear device are presented. The novelty of the approach shown is combining 3Dmodelling of the whole experimental stand in Catia software with FEM simulations in Abaqus. Linking these two applications allow updating of the model effectively based on feedback from FEM analysis.
