EN This article discusses the influence of an effective energy management strategy in nodes of elastic optical networks on the loss probability for calls of individual traffic classes. The structure of the network node is based on the architecture of a 3- stage optical Clos switching network. A key feature of the energy management strategy consists in switching off unused switches of the middle stage of the switching network.
