EN The aim of the scientific research was to develop a method for stamping thick welded sheets. The paper presents the results of theoretical analysis and experimental details of thick steel plate stamping after welding process. During this process material flow kinematics, strain and damage criterion distributions and shaping were analyzed. On the basis of the obtained results, the analysis of limiting phenomena, which could appear during the process were made. Experimental tests in industrial conditions according to designed technology were carried out. Known methods of forming sheet metal by stamping can be divided into: stamping of thick and thin sheets, depends of sheet metal to a given category is the ratio of the sheet thickness g to its diameter d. Previously known methods and methods of stamping welded sheets apply thin sheets with a thickness of 0.7 – 2.0 [mm]. The technology allows you to make stampings from welded thick sheets, using generally available tools in the form of punches and matrices. This method is especially applicable to the production of elements from which require different properties such as tensile strength, thermal conductivity, density at various points. Technology allows for shaping stampings made of sheet metal semi-finished products of various sizes thicknesses that have been combined into one semi-finished product from at least two other sheets made of the same or different materials. Good quality of specimens stamping were obtained. It was found that stamping of thick steel plate after welding process is feasible.
