Abstract

EN This document presents a technology proposal related to RoI-based coding methods for Video Coding for Machines tested in CE1 [1]. The proposal improved RoI-based preprocessing and image retargeting method [2] adopted during last, 145th MPEG meeting. The proposed improvements are non-normative, e.g. no additional syntax elements are required to reconstruct the video.
