Abstract

EN Epoxy resin composites with the addition of 20–50 wt% of ash from municipal waste incineration were obtained. The curing kinetics of the composites (DSC) was determined, and the activation energy was calculated using the Kissinger and Ozawa method. In addition, flexural properties, and impact strength, as well as the structure of the composites (XRD, optical microscopy) were investigated. Brittles of the composites increased with increasing the filler content. The addition of ash also affected the kinetics of the resin cross-linking reaction. A change in the activation energy, degree of conversion and cross-linking time was observed.
