Abstract

EN Laser induced fluorescence spectroscopy was used for the investigation of the Zeeman-hyperfine structure of 21 lines of atomic niobium in the visible region from 498 to 564 nm. The source of atoms was the hollow cathode discharge lamp. The magnetic field of approximately 900 G was produced by a permanent neodymium magnet. Landé gJ factor values for 3 levels were experimentally determined for the first time. For 9 other levels more accurate results were obtained. In addition earlier experimental data on the hyperfine structure as well as the data regarding Landé gJ factors were verified.
