Abstract

EN The determination of unsteady-state temperature field in highly thermally loaded elements, such as barrels, can be obtained using semi-analytical method in the nonlinear case. This paper presents the approximation of the nonlinear part of the heat conduction equation by a linear combination of harmonic functions. In this way, we obtain an ordinary matrix equation, the solution of which is expressed by analytical form. The thermophysical properties of the material are determined in an iterative process by used value of the temperature in the previous time step.
