Abstract

EN The paper is devoted to the stability of cold-formed thin-walled profiles. The study includes geometric characteristics of various cross-sections such as closed rectangular profiles and C-shaped profiles with various types of stiffeners. It compares critical forces and stresses of various profile types obtained by finite element method. Results indicate significant differences in critical forces among profiles. The load-bearing capacity of a classic channel-shaped profile modified channel profile and closed rectangular profiles are compared. Profiles with bends show different stability characteristics than standard profiles.
