Abstract

FR This paper aims to propose a new way of developing a Straussian Grounded Theory Methodology (GTM) through an abductive reasoning. To this end, a review of the literature has been conducted throughout an overview of GTM basic principles as well as the Straussian orthodoxy. The paper reports the results of a case study that theorizes Territorial-HRM practices within an informal territorial network of shoemakers in Senegal. Results derived from the Straussian method of analysis underline the emergence of a theory that breaks with Straussian orthodoxy thanks to the introduction of an abductive reasoning into the research process and above all allow revising Strauss and Corbin's (1990, 1998) coding paradigm.
