PL Trwający obecnie kryzys gospodarczy i finansowy, dotykający ze szczególną siłą krajów rozwiniętych, wiąże się z wyczerpywaniem się potencjału dotychczasowego modelu rozwoju. W okresie po II wojnie światowej, dzięki stałym impulsom rozwojowym, takim jak stwarzanie potrzeb z użyciem nowych narzędzi, jakimi były marketing oraz reklama, a także stymulowanie popytu za pomocą rozbudowanej oferty kredytu konsumpcyjnego, kreowano, a później podtrzymywano stały wzrost gospodarczy. Okazuje się jednak, że zasadniczą podstawą wzrostu był odpowiednio wysoki przyrost naturalny, w przypadku miast wspierany trwającą w długim okresie imigracją ludności wiejskiej. Dostarczał on bodźca do rozwoju ilościowego oraz zapewniał na przyszłość stabilizację systemów zabezpieczenia socjalnego. Również przyszłemu rozwojowi ilościowemu było podporządkowane planowanie rozwoju miast. Ponieważ w wielu krajach taki stan należy już do przeszłości, pojawia się zupełnie nowa sytuacja: spodziewana, w niektórych przypadkach już występująca stagnacja, a nawet regres populacyjny miast, również polskich. Rodzi to szereg problemów oraz dylematów, z których wybrane zostaną omówione w artykule.
EN Currently ongoing economic and financial crisis, aware specially the developed countries, involves the exhaustion of the current model of development potential. In the period after the second world war, thanks to the constantly given development impetus, such as the creation of needs by the new tool which was marketing and advertising, as well as the stimulation of economic demand through a rich offer of consumer credit continuous growth was created and then maintaned. It appears, however, that the essential basis for growth within this model was accordingly high level of population growth, additionally supported, more¬over the continuing migration of rural population. It provided the impetus to the quantity development and provided for stabilisation of the social protection systems in the future. Also the future quantity development was subordinated to planning of urban development. Since in many countries such a status already belongs to the past, a completely new situation appears: the expected, and in some cases already frequent stagnation and even a population gap in cities, also polish ones. It raises a series of problems and dilemmas to solve, from which the selected will be discussed in this paper.
