PL Przedmiotem artykułu jest rola ulicy śródmiejskiej w przebudowie miasta Przemyśla. Do analizy wybrano przykłady ulic, które mają silną tożsamość i wymagają rewitalizacji. Przebudowa układu komunikacyjnego jest szansą radykalnego ograniczenia ruchu samochodowego w śródmieściu i w konsekwencji ożywienia jego ulic. Zakłada się, że porównanie typów wybranych ulic z typami tkanki miejskiej, w której się znajdują, oraz towarzyszące temu analizy funkcjonalne pomogą w zrozumieniu roli ulicy śródmiejskiej w życiu miasta. To z kolei jest okolicznością wyznaczającą rolę, jaką ulice odgrywają w strategii rewitalizacji.
EN The paper focuses on the role of a street in the process of redevelopment the city of Przemyśl. For the analysis I have selected examples of streets that have a strong identity and need revitalization. Reconstruction of the communication system is a chance to drastically reduce car traffic in the city center and thus revive the streets. It is assumed that a comparison between selected types of the streets and the urban fabric in which they are located and the (associated) functional analysis will help in understanding the role of the street in the city's midtown. This in turn is a factor defining the role that streets play in the revitalization strategy.
