Abstract

EN Currently, development of such hi tech methods of medical imaging as videoendoscopy, X-ray imaging, and ultrasound imaging is very dynamic. Their on-line continuous application can improve efficiency of complex procedures made during the so-called minimally invasive surgery. Significance of this modern kind of surgery is now great and growing. The major goal of the paper is to present attributes of selected combined methods of imaging techniques used to aid minimally invasive surgical manipulations. Advantages and limitations of these methods are discussed here on the basis of several examples of real interventions practiced by the authors.
