PL W miastach, wsiach i na osiedlach (współcześnie wchodzących w skład Pasma Otwockiego), które powstawać zaczęły na południe od Warszawy pod koniec XIX w., tożsamość lokalną budowały i nadal konstytuują różnorodne elementy: przyrodnicze, przestrzenne, funkcjonalne oraz architektoniczne. Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie jednej z lokalnych dominant, integrującej pierwiastki techniki i architektury – zabytkowego obiektu dawnej elektrowni gminy Falenica Letnisko. Losy Elektrowni Falenickiej były nieodłącznie splecione z historią miasteczka, a potem osiedla. Obiekt ten nie pełni dziś pierwotnej funkcji i nieużytkowany niszczeje. Budynek stanowi dominantę przestrzenną, ma oryginalną bryłę oraz interesujący detal architektoniczny. Od momentu powstania do dziś, jest jednym z istotnych elementów budujących tożsamość lokalną wśród społeczności Falenicy.
EN In the towns and villages that began to emerge south of Warsaw at the end of the 19th century (now part of the Otwock Range), local identity was built and still is built by various elements: natural, spatial, functional and architectural. The article aims to focus on one of the local dominants integrating the elements of technology and architecture – the historic building of the former Power Station in the Letnisko Falenica commune from 1929, which currently does not fulfil its original technical function and is decaying when not used. The fate of the Power Station was related to the village's history, and then the estate. The building was and is a spatial dominant and has an interesting shape and architectural detail, and from the time of its inception to the present day, it is one of the elements that build local identity among the Falenica community.
