EN There are a lot of small bridges called culverts hidden along the railway lines. They are damaged very often due to advanced age and lack or insufficient maintenance activity. The concrete is damaged very often and steel members are corroded as well. Sometimes there are many voids in the structural elements, and hand rails are damaged from the other side. Regardless small size of culverts, they cause substantial disturbances of railway traffic, because the speed of trains had to be limited. Sometimes it happens that trains can run only 50 km/h or even less, instead of expected speed 160 km/h. It is stated, that most of culverts can be substituted by the new structures, what is the most sensible solute.
