EN Implementation of a dense IoT network requires deployment of many IoT nodes in relatively small spaces. The network needs to operate in such a way as to ensure reliable conditions for data transmission. Despite the low-power nature of the transmission, the dense structure of the Wireless Sensor Network system can cause issues with its proper operation - mainly because of the destructive influence of inter-node inter-ference on the integrity of transmitted data. This paper proposes a novel spectrum access control system for utilisation in dense IoT networks, which deals with the abovementioned problem by managing transmissions with interference assessment calculations conducted in a cloud platform. Initial simulation results proved high capacity of the spectrum access control system, with the only load on IoT nodes being performing API calls to the cloud system's endpoints. The achieved results lay foundation for future research, such as tests in a laboratory environment.
