Abstract

EN The wireless communication system with maximal ratio combining (MRC) receiver functioning over independent, identical multipath fading channels is examined in this paper. Received signal experiences η-μ multipath fading resulting in second order performance measures degradation. The closed form expressions for average level crossing rate of MRC receiver output signal envelope is calculated. Numerical results are presented graphically to show influence of η-μ fading parameters on second order performance measures of wireless communication system with MRC receiver.
