Abstract

EN The aim of the research was to evaluate deflection of thin-walled profile made of hardened steel during milling with variable cutting parameters. During the cutting of thin-walled elements, there is a probability of their deflection, which is connected with dimensional errors of the made elements. The tests included measurement of the components of the total cutting force using a piezoelectric accelerator, and deflections of a thin-walled element using a laser position sensor during milling of thin-walled elements at different cutting speeds and feeds in hardened steel using end flat mill. The tests showed the minimum wall thickness for the tested material and the influence of cutting parameters on their deflection.
