PL Strategiczny transport zaopatrzenia wojskowego nie może być realizowany bez udziału transportu kolejowego. Zapewnienie zdolności do budowy mostów kolejowych i kolejowo-drogowych jest wyzwaniem dla konstruktorów i wojsk kolejowych. Obecnie wojska rosyjskie przodują we wprowadzaniu na wyposażenie nowych rodzajów mostów kolejowo-drogowych. Nowoczesny most pontonowy typu wstęgi MЛЖ-ВФ-BT ma zastąpić konstrukcję mostu pontonowego na oddzielnych podporach NŻM-56. Składana estakada kolejowa ИMЖ-500 zastąpi estakadę REM-500.
EN Strategic transport of military supplies cannot be analysed without taking into the account the contribution of rail transport. Providing the capability to build railway bridges and combined railway-road bridges poses a challenge for both the structural engineers, and railway troops. At this time, Russians are the leaders in implementing new types of road-rail bridges into their Armed Forces. A state-of-the-art MLZh-VF-VT floating ribbon bridge is to be the successor to NŻM-56 pontoon bridge on separate floating supports, whereas the IMZh road bridge will replace REM-500 sectional railway bridge.
