EN Currently, transport is one of the main sources of greenhouse gas carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere. The negative impact of this economic sector also manifests itself in the emission of toxic compounds, the long-term effects of which on the human body contribute to the development of various diseases. HDVs make up a significant group in the structure of exploded vehicles. In view of this, the report presents an overview of emissions from two heavy-duty vehicles of different purposes. The analysis was based on tests under real operating conditions, which were carried out using an apparatus of the Portable Emission Measurement System (PEMS) type. In both cases, the test route reflected the standard operating pattern of these vehicles. This made it possible to show the differences in emissions depending on the way the vehicle was operated and the transportation process
