Abstract

EN The subject of the present work is to determine the influence geometric parameter adjustment on the operating characteristics of the drum pedal mechanism. The present work shall consider the length adjustment on the cam radius which affects the force value required to put the mechanism into motion. This issue is relevant from the design standpoint allowing to examine the influence of the adjustment mechanism before it is implemented in the prototype. In order to determine the forces in specific kinematic pairs, the equation of motion for the mechanism was derived via the Lagrangian method of analysis. It allowed to provide a graph representation of the variable characteristics resulting from different adjustment settings as a function of minimum force necessary to start the mechanism.
