EN In the past, a lot of industrial factories have been built around Chinese cities. This has led to serious pollution issues in many of these cities. Therefore, it is vital to solve this environmental problem as a matter of urgency. One of the solutions was to force the industrial factories to move out to more remote areas in China. Chinese Eco-Parks were developed and created in these former industrial areas to restore heavy and light industry. Although the evolution of Eco Industrial Parks in China has already been developed, in recent years the EIP model has been used in many other countries including Italy and the UK. But a lot of regions in China are still need to meet the demand of their sustainability and development. In this case study the researchers analysed the Bin river park along the Hutuo River and Fen River Parks. Eco-Industrial Parks can have a significant role in realising economic, environmental and social improvements both to individual plants and to a network of companies. The key to developing a successful Eco Industry Park is to determine the best connections amongst different industrial plants and their surrounding communities within an Eco Industry Park. In this research, authors analysed the function of these parks with an on-going planning for community process, including examining: sufficient assets within land; staffing and the equipment required to meet the system’s goals; local resident’s satisfaction as well as the benefits for the city beyond the boundaries of the EIPs.
