EN The paper presents the results of research carried out in recent years in the area of modeling and simulation of production and assembly systems. The main goal of the article is to show the practical application of ABS in the simulation modeling of production and assembly systems as well as the benefits resulting from it. The most important points of the article are the presentation of the originality of this approach in the context of traditional methodologies for building simulation models of manufacturing systems, the discussion of solutions proposed in commercial simulation programs, suggesting a language describing the behavior of agents carrying out the flow of materials in the production process and showing the model built in the described way.
