EN The paper presents the results of research carried out at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznan University of Technology, concerning the revitalization of rural areas based on the cultural potential located in these areas. The aim of the research is to answer the question whether the Charles Landry theory of the creative city may also apply to the countryside. Is the cultural potential located in rural areas so strong that it will have a significant impact on the revitalization of the countryside? Research is carried out in the Wielkopolska province. The partial results we obtained are so interesting that we decided to present them in this publication.
