EN Polymer composites have many advantages over metal and ceramic composites. The most important are high specific strength, relatively easy production and processing, corrosion resistance, better dynamic properties, good damping properties, high dimensional stability and the ability to produce complex parts at once or assemble them from a smaller number of elements (integral construction). High specific strength was the main reason reinforced plastics are suitable for applications that have to withstand impacts. The automotive industry is a complex industry that affects mechanical, electrical, chemical and, of course, plastics and rubber production. The requirements of the automotive industry have changed quite significantly recently. The most important factors influencing car design today are cost, final consumption and pollutant emissions. At the same time, consumption and emissions were not taken into account very significantly a few years ago. The presented paper aims to thermal analysis of composite materials based on polyethylene (PE) and polystyrene (PS) and Maleinanhydrid a Di-terc-butyl peroxide were used as additives.
