EN This article aims to retrospectively study the scientifi c research of architect engineer, doctor Eugeniusz Ast on Urban transformation and spatial development prospects of the region bordering Leszczyńskie and Głogowsko-Lubińskie poviats. His research resulted in a doctoral dissertation, defended at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. The work was supervised by professor, habilitated PhD Lech Zimowski.
