Abstract

EN Data centers are huge energy consumers but also a source of significant amounts of waste heat. Within this paper we present approach to re-use the data center waste heat both locally and in connection to a district heating network. The heat re-use design and analysis process is supported by the methodology and software tools developed by the RENergetic project. The analysis is performed based on a case study of the university campus and a data center located in a close neighbourhood.
