Abstract

EN One of the fastest-developing technologies currently in the field of broadly understood production engineering is the “Digital Twin technology”. In general, it is related to the development and use of a digital equivalent of a given process, system, or object to conduct various types of data analyses or simulations. This technology is based on the creation of a virtual (digital) model that reproduces real products, machines, or entire processes (including production), enabling the simulation of various scenarios or the prediction and conduct of tests without the need to conduct them on a physical object. This work presents the concept of construction and tests of the Digital Twin application, developed for the vision inspection process during the automated production of innovative mechatronic ladders. The application was prepared in the Unity environment, enabling user interaction in two modes: desktop and VR.
