EN The paper presents results of selected surgery cases, focusing on use of anatomical visualizations in form of mixed reality holograms and 3D printed physical models. Two distinctively different cases are presented: first - focusing on a cancerous tumor on a liver and second – focusing on a surgery of a lower jaw and endoprosthesis implantation. In both cases, the anatomical data was first extracted of medical imaging and 3D models were created. Then, 3D printing was realized using photopolymerization techniques. Simultaneously, models were optimized, subjected to graphical processing and mixed reality applications were built using Unity game engine and Microsoft Mixed Reality Toolkit. The applications were deployed on Meta Quest Pro device and subjected to testing. The test participants – doctors engaged in the surgeries – were asked to fill surveys and share their observations on the perceived usability and quality of the mixed reality technology. It was found that the applications were generally considered useful, interesting and providing new insights, however not really being able to replace 3D printed physical models.
