EN During field and transport work, it is necessary to weight the front or rear axle of an agricultural tractor or self-propelled machine. By changing the center of gravity, we can obtain greater functionality in the form of maintaining the assumed traction and steerability of a tractor or self-propelled machine when aggregating (cooperating) with machines, devices, or accessories of variable length and mass. The use of a variable center of gravity will reduce the unfavorable phenomenon of wheel slippage, which has a positive effect on fuel consumption during agrotechnical operations, loading, or cleaning work. The aim of the work was to develop a conceptual design of a new weight with variable center of gravity and to analyze the strength of the main frame. The conceptual design included an analysis of available solutions, the development of a 3D CAD model of the new weight, and a detailed strength analysis of the main frame using the finite element method (FEM). The new developed weight design meets all the intended functions and has a high chance of being used.
