Abstract

EN This article describes sustainable manufacturing (a part of a sustainable development concept) and the role of human factor/ergonomics (HFE) in achieving it. This includes consideration of relevant human factor issues in advancing manufacturing operations and processes from the point of view of product life cycle phases.
