PL Niniejszy artykuł to krótka refleksja nad tym, jakie obecnie są kryteria nadawania praw miejskich w Polsce oraz jakie korzyści lub straty może przynieść decyzja o zmianie statusu wsi na miasto. Podstawą tej refleksji jest przykład jednej z międzyrzeckich miejscowości, leżącej na styku województwa wielkopolskiego i lubuskiego - Pszczewa. Miała ona prawa miejskie przez ponad 650 lat, niestety straciła je po II wojnie światowej i do dziś ich nie odzyskała.
EN This article is a short reflection on what now are the criteria the broadcasting rights of urban in Poland and what kind of benefits or losses can bring a decision of changing the status of the village to the city, made on the example of one of the Międzyrzecz towns, placed in between two provinces Wielkopolskie and Lubuskie. It had the city rights for over 750 years, unfortunately, it lost them after the Il-nd World War, and today they are not recovered.
