PL W artykule podjęto próbę sformułowania definicji tożsamości miasta arabskiego. W pierwszej części pracy autor charakteryzuje układ funkcjonalno-przestrzenny typowych miast arabskich na tle miast europejskich. Kolejna część artykułu to analiza unikatowego systemu religijno-prawnego zwanego prawem szariatu. Autor uważa, że system ten to główny czynnik budujący tożsamość miasta arabskiego, odpowiedzialny za jego niepowtarzalny ład przestrzenny. Ostatnia cześć pracy zawiera prezentację przejawów tożsamości, wnioski z analiz oraz sformułowanie definicji tożsamości miasta muzułmańsko-arabskiego.
EN Article attempts to formulate the definition of Arab identity. In the first part, the author has a functional spatial arrangement typical Arab city on the background of European cities. Another part of the article is an analysis of the unique religious system - called Sharia law. The author believes that this system is a key factor in building the Arab identity of the city, which is responsible for its unique spatial order. The last part of the book contains a presentation manifestations of identity, the conclusions of the analysis, as well as a definition of arabic city.
