Abstract

EN A review of the requirements and the limitations of digital advertising billboards was made. The position of research, methodology and basic results from the simulation study of the impact on drivers' behavior with advertising billboards where described. A negative effect in slowing human response in driving situations during the night-time when digital advertising billboards are in driver’s view was noted. This effect depends, among others, on the average luminance of billboards.
