Abstract

EN The application of a fuzzy Kalman filter (FKF) to identification of mechanical parameters of the two-mass system is presented in the paper. Torsional vibrations are damped by applying a control structure with two additional feedbacks from the shaft torque and difference between motor and load speed. The coefficients of the control system are retuned according to the adaptation laws based on the estimated current values of mechanical parameters. The motor speed, shaft torque and load side speed are provided to the control structure by fuzzy Kalman filter. In order to ensure the smallest state and parameter errors the fuzzy system is used to adapt elements of the covariance matrix. The coefficients of the covariance matrix and the fuzzy systems are selected by means of genetic algorithm.
