Abstract

EN Modeling of water network distribution systems must base on either actual data from water monitoring systems or the GIS data. The methods applied during design works on measuring points' localization and quantity ought to respect a number of criteria. One of them is an ability to apply monitoring as a critical element of the early watch system. This article discusses importance and measuring points' localization strategy using the TEVA-SPOT as the dedicated software. Further, it presents the challenges and limitations of this one and similar programs from the perspective of their application in large agglomerations. It emphasizes various incidents and describes their integration with the modeling software.
