Abstract

EN The paper presents results of preliminary studies on possibilities of using low – cost devices to train operators of production line on how to perform a simple assembly task in Virtual Reality. Two different approaches to manipulate virtual objects without haptic feedback were compared and tested. The overall time and successful rate was measured for all users in both systems. The results lead to conclusion that smartphone based training applications in VR have a long way to go, but with increasing computing power seems like a promising direction.
