Abstract

EN A method aimed at refinement of the cyclic steady state space reachable in the given multimodal transportation network is proposed. The paper introduces the concept of a System of Concurrent Multimodal Cyclic Processes in which several subnetworks interact each other via distinguished subsets of common shared workstations as to provide a variety of demand-responsive work-piece transportation/handling services. Searching for the cyclic steady state behavior the following question is considered: Is the cyclic steady state space reachable in the given network structure ? The declarative approach employed makes it possible to evaluate the reachability of cyclic behaviors on a scale that reflects real practice.
