Abstract

EN Being the key to success, continuous improvement in an enterprise requires involvement of employees in improvement actions as experts on the performed processes. Employees often naturally tend to streamline their processes to facilitate and speed up the work. In order for employees to be able to share their ideas with co-workers, many enterprises implement an employee suggestion scheme. An employee suggestion scheme is known as part of a concept of continuous improvement pursued every day, by every employee, at any place. It consists of implementing changes suggested by employees in small steps. This paper presents an employee suggestion scheme implemented in an enterprise operating in the packaging industry. The kaizen employee suggestion system in question has been implemented in a company manufacturing packaging and cardboard labels. The implementation of the kaizen employee suggestion scheme has enabled the employees to share their ideas with co-workers. The scheme has facilitated the communication between the management and lower-level employees, including those with disabilities.
