PL Wyróżniono dwa rodzaje sfery publicznej: szeroka obejmuje to wszystko, co zachodzi w przestrzeniach publicznych, wąska obejmuje działania istotne politycznie. W artykule omówiono moralność wąskiej sfery publicznej. Moralność publiczna ma chronić indywidua oraz całe społeczeństwa przed złem ze strony innych oraz sprzyjać materialnemu i duchowemu rozwojowi zbiorowości. Wartości i dobra szczególnie istotne dla istnienia oraz rozwoju społeczeństw są chronione przez prawo stanowione. Normy dobrego prawa winny być zgodne treściowo z normami moralnymi, a więc winny chronić życie, zdrowie, własność, wolność, dobrobyt, sprawiedliwość, porządek. Natomiast zasady przyzwoitości społecznej są chronione przez moralność pozaprawną, obecną w postaci zwyczajów, obyczajów, kultury, opinii społecznych. Żyjemy w epoce transformacji moralności publicznej (i prywatnej – obowiązującej w domu i rodzinie). Liberalizacja moralna w tej sferze pociąga za sobą demoralizację sfery publicznej jako całości.
EN Two types of public spheres have been distinguished: the broad one which includes everything that takes place in public spaces, and the narrow one which covers activities of political importance. The article discusses morality of the public sphere in the narrow sense. Public morality is there to protect individuals and the whole society against the evil of others and contributes to the material and spiritual development of communities. Values and goods of particular importance for the existence and development of society are protected by statutory law. Standards of good law should be consistent with moral norms, and therefore must protect life, health, property, freedom, prosperity, justice and order. The rules of social decency are protected by extra-legal morality, present in the form of habits, customs, culture, social opinion. We live in an age of transformation of public morality (and private, i.e. present at home and in the family). Moral liberalization in this area entails the demoralization of the public sphere as a whole.
