Abstract

EN A study of the results of FEM simulations of plate and shell models are presented to reference of a violin vibrations problems. The influence of arching, variable thickness and damping was considered. ABAQUS/Explicit procedure of “Dynamic Explicit” was used in the simulation. Anisotropy in the material properties (spruce) was considered (9 elastic constants).
