Depending on the amount of data to process, file generation may take longer.

If it takes too long to generate, you can limit the data by, for example, reducing the range of years.

Abstract

EN The preparation of solid samples, that are surface doped with the lanthanide ions Eu3+ and Tb3+ from nitric solution, with the use of an adsorption technique is presented. Fluorescence of the ions is recorded using light emitting diodes as sources of excitation light for the investigated excited states. The fluorescence signal is analysed spectrally to determine emission wavelengths and branching ratios of the investigated emission transitions, as well as temporally in measurements of the fluorescence lifetimes for the surface doped solid samples and their liquid precursors. An analysis of the radiative lifetime of the europium excited state 5D0 and of its corrected emission spectrum is used to estimate the radiative quantum efficiency. This method of surface doping of transparent solids with fluorescent materials can be an alternative for the more difficult preparation of volume doped fluorescent crystals for applications like the nuclear clock, lasers, displays or sensors.
