Abstract

EN The article presents a collection of the most interesting and innovative solutions for weed control in fields that have recently appeared on the agricultural machinery market. The focus was on solutions that limit or completely eliminate the use of herbicides in the fields, which is one of the priorities of sustainable agriculture and the agricultural policy of the European Union. Examples of machines representing different approaches to weed elimination are presented. Some of them involve completely mechanical weeding, others combine the advantages of mechanical methods with the advantages of chemical weed control. There is also an example of machines designed to reduce the amount of herbicide delivered by precise dosing in places that really need it. All described machines are commercially available to farmers. Therefore, they are refined and tested technologies that certainly meet the goals set by sustainable agriculture.
