Abstract

EN In this paper authors tried to verify reliability of four-point bending scheme in terms of assessment of load-bearing capacity and stiffness of trapezoidal sheets. The standard manner of conducting physical experiment testing their strength, presented in Eurocode, suggests uniformly distributed load or several linear forces. Due to the capabilities of the laboratory four-point bending model was applied. However, load conditions in real constructions are different. Therefore, the main aim of the analyses was to check whether fourpoint bending corresponds to loads in existing structures. Interesting observations have been made regarding the static equilibrium paths. The conclusions from the analyses are optimistic.
