EN Due to the announcement of the urban competition by the City of Poznań, the undeveloped area along the railway artery and F. D. Roosevelt Street in the center has become an area of special attention. It is a good example to analyze the achievements of urban design and propose a code that would help in creating contemporary space. The design concept presented in this article is based on the parameters describing urban space. These are: heritage, environment, spatial composition, functionality and the reception of space. These parameters have been classifi ed based on the achievements in the fi eld of urban planning and constitute an original idea to support virtual design in the context of urban space.
