Abstract

EN It is a synthesis of 14 published works, selected from those submitted under "Architectural, Civil, and Infrastructure Engineering in View of Sustainability" special issue. Two intersecting synthesis criteria have been used. The first concerns the groups of issues and threads dominating the articles, i.e.: A) energy, B) economy, C) pro-health activities, D) designing. Moreover, the urban design subgroup is identified. The second criterion includes the subject, the research problem, the research technique, and the instrumentality. The substantive values of individual articles according to thematic groups are presented. The synthesis of the works indicates the following: the interface between the issues of sustainability and engineering is multidimensional; the understanding of the principles of organic design in the sphere of sustainability has been increasing; solving sustainability problems becomes a team game.
