PL W rozdziale zawarto próbę podsumowania przemian w procesie rozwoju społeczno-politycznego i technicznego społeczeństwa wielkopolskiego od okresu rozbiorów do podjęcia decyzji o uruchomieniu produkcji samochodu rolniczego Tarpan. Decyzja ta podejmowana w czasie istotnych przemian ustrojowych wymuszonych przez społeczeństwo państwa socjalistycznego miała swoje podłoże w przemianach nie tylko gospodarczych, lecz także społecznych, emocjonalnych i ambicjonalnych. Emocjonalną warstwę podjętych wówczas decyzji uruchamiających budowę fabryki i produkcję samochodów rolniczych oraz społecznego do nich stosunku wydają się współcześnie dowodzić liczne grupy hobbistów i miłośników samochodów Tarpan i Tarpan Honker, które podtrzymują mit wyjątkowości tej konstrukcji oraz zjawisk społecznych, jakie ich powstaniu towarzyszyły.
EN The chapter contains an attempt to summarize the changes in the process of socio-political and technical development of Great-Poland society from the period of partitions to the decision to launch the production of the Tarpan agricultural car. This decision, taken at a time of significant political changes forced by the society of the socialist state, had its roots in not only economic, but also social, emotional and ambitious changes. The emotional layer of the decisions taken at that time to start the construction of the factory and the production of agricultural cars and the social attitude towards them seem to be evidenced today by numerous groups of hobbyists and lovers of Tarpan and Tarpan Honker cars, which maintain the myth of the uniqueness of this construction and the social phenomena that accompanied their creation.
