Abstract

EN This paper deals with the design, manufacturing, and test of Helmholtz coils for control measurement of magnetic field generated by traction vehicles. The test stand for controlling magnetic field tests was built to ensure the correctness, reliability, and repeatability of tests of the levels of magnetic fields generated by electrical and electronic devices in the railway environment. Selected results from studies of magnetic fields generated by a tram, an electric multiple unit and a locomotive with a diesel engine are presented. The results of the measurements show that it is necessary to clarify the legal requirements for trams in terms of electromagnetic compatibility.
