Abstract

EN Handmade products are very fashionable these days. However, manual work does not always make sense. In many cases, the use of the machine allows you to improve work, improve efficiency, productivity, increase quality, and reduce physical effort of the employee. One such case is the process of quilting cushions that are part of upholstered furniture. The quilting process requires a lot of effort from the worker, so designing a machine that would assist this process is desirable. The quilting process uses a needle through which the fabric must be pierced. The design of the machine involves the use of an actuator that will pierce the fabric with a needle. Choosing the right actuator requires measuring the forces necessary to pierce the fabric. This article presents the results of needle the study of piercing fabrics.
