Abstract

EN The article deals with the issue of surface cleanliness assessment by fluorescence using Recognoil detection equipment. The materials selected for the evaluation were low carbon steel QD-36, stainless steel AlSI430, aluminium alloy Al99,5%, copper Cu DHP, brass CuZn37. The evaluation of surface cleanliness by fluorescence method, allows to determine the size and distribution of contaminants of oily nature. The purpose of this paper is to determine the magnitude of fluorescence intensity in selected ma-terials. The output of the measurement is a fluorescence map, which is influenced by several parameters - material type, gloss, roughness and surface treatment method. Concrete results of surface cleanliness studies have most often been in the thousands of units of fluorescence intensity, and will be discussed in more detail below for each material type.
